Deiver Quintero Pérez

A community leader Deiver Quintero Pérez was killed on the 11th of February 2019 in El Tarra, in the Norte de Santander region. Deiver was kidnapped from his shop in the centre of the town. A couple of men came into the shop and forced Deiver to get into the car with them. Afterwards, they set off towards an unknown destination.

Deiver Quintero Pérez was a community leader that worked as a Sports Coordinator in the local Community Action Council (JAC – Junta de Acción Comunal) in the El Tarrita districts in the El Tarra municipality. He was well-known for his collaborative spirit and recognized as an active leader of the JAC.
