Henry Arturo González Acevedo

On December 16, in the early hours of the morning, teacher Henry Arturo González Acevedo, 47, was murdered.

González Acevedo had been teaching for 26 years in the municipality of Vegachí, Antioquia, and worked in the village of Moná, in the rural educational institution Alfredo Gómez, headquarters of the John F. Kennedy Educational Institution, in the El Tigre district.

The professor, a native of Yolombó, also from the Northeast subregion, was shot and killed by unknown persons when he was in the company of another person, who was wounded.The teacher, according to ADIDA, was very loved by the educational community, was part of a large family of teachers in Yolombó, and “was a very active leader in the strikes, marches, and other community activities as well as being an active member of the local organising committee in the municipality of Vegachí, “the Association said in a statement.
