Authorities are on the trail of gunmen who killed community leader and member of the Community Action Board of the village of El Cedro, in the municipality of San Miguel, Putumayo, José Edgar Benavides, 45 year old.
The incident took place at 9:30 p.m. when the leader left for his home, according to local sources. There is still no indication of the motivation of the crime or the identity of the perpetrators.
