Juvenal Silva Manchola

Juvenal Silva Manchola (44) was a community leader and business man in La Montañita municipality, Caquetá.
He was killed on the night of 27 May 2018, after the presidential election day, when he was caught in the crossfire between members of the national army and alleged FARC dissidents.
On that day, a group of armed FARC dissidents came to his house and forced him and one of his employees, Jefferson Monroy, to drive them to San Isidro hamlet. On the way there, they were intercepted and attacked by members of the National Army, which at that time was working on an operation against a guerrilla group.
Both Silva and his employee, Jefferson Monroy, died in the crossfire.
