Lando Perdicos

Business and Human Rights Resource Centre writes:

“Lando Perdicos, was a resident of Barangay Cabuyo-an in Mabini town at Compostella Valley and a member Hugpong sa mga Mag-uuma sa Mabini (HUMABIN) under KMP. He was active in joining rallies against militarization and supported agrarian reform beneficiaries protesting to reclaim land occupied by Lapanday Foods Corporation in Madaum,Tagum City. He was killed right outside his house while his wife and children were still inside. Pedro Arnado, chairperson of KMP-Southern Mindanao, attributed these killings to the peasants’ strong opposition against the militarization of communities and entry of big mining companies and plantations in their area.”
