Robert Emiro Jaraba Arroyo

Robert Emiro Jaraba Arroyo was the union leader of Cerro Matoso, a nickel company located in the municipality of Montelíbano, in the south of Córdoba. In recent months he had dedicated himself to carrying out land restitution processes. He was killed in the municipality of Caucasia, Antioquia, on July 17, 2018.

Robert Emiro was shot by hitmen when he was speaking in a public establishment in the municipality of Caucasia, Antioquia. It was established that the alleged aggressor shot him in the back and then finished him off on the ground.
Jaraba Arroyo served as the union leader of Cerromatoso, the largest open-pit Nickel mine in Latin America.

Under the coordination of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, units of the National Police have captured Cristian de Jesús Ramírez Basilio, who is charged with murder of the Robert Emiro. Ramírez Basilio has been charged with the crimes of aggravated homicide and illegal carrying of firearms.
