Sandra Yaneth Luna

Sandra Yaneth Luna’s body was found on the 6th of February 2018. She was the president of the JAC in the Tutumito Carbonera village, in Tibu region of the Norte de Santander department.

She was forced out of her apartment in the La Silla region on the 27.09.2017 by a group of armed men. The authorities suspect that this crime might potentially be linked to an extortion complaint she made.

As informed by the Norte de Santander Policy, the body was found on Tuesday, 6th of February in the La Primavera village in the Petrolea region in Tibu (Norte de Santander). The coroner has established that the victim was shot one time in the head and twice in the right part of her torso.

The murder has caused dismay in the village especially because 24 hours before finding Sandra’s body, the authorities announced that two other community members had been killed – Valerio Osario (26) and Luis Garcia Bayona.
