A day after the triple homicide at an inn in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife (RMR), community leader George de Andrade Lima Rodrigues, 37, was found dead. He was a shop owner at Coral Cove Beach and had been missing for two days.
George was abducted 100 meters from the house where he lived by four men who were were pretending to be civilian police. The body was found two kilometers from where it was taken, in sector 4 of the beach. The uncle of the victim, the vigilante Luís Henrique de Andrade, 39, reports that the population of the region had been out looking for his nephew.
“He disappeared on the 20th, and we spent two days looking at Enseada and in Gaibu. They found him yesterday [Thursday, 22] in a bush in the afternoon. He helped everybody, he was a good person and he had been living here for a long time. We do not know why this happened, it may have been by mistake. ”
Luís Henrique, who identified the body at the Instituto Medico Legal (IML), states that George had apparently been tortured. “The fingerprints have to be checked because the body is in a state of decomposition. Getting the body to Enseada is difficult, but the family is seeing where the burial will be.”
