Duvis Antonio Galvis

Duvis Antonio Galvis, was the president of Junta de Acción Comunal – El Bojoso and a member of the Asociación Campesina del Catatumbo. When the recognized leader of his community was on his way home, he was intercepted by unknown people who shot him in the chest, causing his death.

Galvis was also part of the “Marcha Patriótica” movement. They have been denouncing the death of 30 members of their movement and the disappearance of three more, since the creation of the movement in 2012.

 

Duvis Galvis left his wife and his 3 children.
