Edwin Andrés Grisales Galvis

Edwin Andrés Grisales Galvis was murdered on 25 March 2019. His murder occurred at 11 pm in the Belén neighbourhood where Edwin, 29, was shot by unidentified individuals.

Edwin was a member of the Southwestern Popular Artists Network (RAPSO for its Spanish acronym) and the Sevilla Hip-Hop Network and he was the brother of the social leader and human rights activist Jhon Freddy Grisales Galvis.

According to RAPSO, his murder is connected to his social, cultural and political activism, as his work with the Hip-Hop Network and the work generated through art and culture in Sevilla was not desired by certain groups.

In a statement, RAPSO demanded that those who shot and killed Edwin be found and that this crime will not go unpunished, a crime which was committed in the context of the systematic murders of social leaders in Colombia.
