On 11 March, hitmen murdered Angie Tatiana González Gerena, 27, who was, according to media sources, a recognised LGBT leader in the municipality. The hitmen approached the victim, shot her several times and then fled the scene. Angie was taken to a health care centre but unfortunately she died due to the seriousness of her injuries.
