Víctor Alonso Calvo Guevara was a very well respected peasant leader and member of the Asociación Campesina de Huisitó, (Peasant Association of Huisitó).
Victor had previously received threats and was finally gunned down on 5 July, 2020, in the village of San Juan de Micay de El Tambo.
Paola del Carmen Mena Ortiz and Armando Suárez Rodríguez were both killed in the area on that same day.
