EXTRA Cauca learned that a person who lived in the town of Belén, belonging to the municipality of Toribío, died after being shot several times. According to local inhabitants, the targeted attack to took place in the early evening in a place known as Dos Balastreras, close to the El Palo road.

Two men who were travelling by motorcycle, intercepted young Aldemar Tróchez and without saying anything, drew firearms and shot him repeatedly. Due to the seriousness of the wounds, Tróchez lost his life immediately. These bloody facts are the subject of investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office and local authorities.

Members of the Basic Unit of Criminal Investigation arrived on the scene to carry out the inspection of the place and the body. The indigenous communities were present for the lifting of the body.

One of the experts explained that Aldemar Tróchez had been killed with a single lethal shot to the head.

For its part, the community asked the departmental government, headed by Óscar Campo, to implement its policy of ‘Cauca Territorio de Paz’, which up to now has not been fulfilled. “The only thing they do in the face of these events are the famous Security Councils, which, to tell the truth, are useless. We must act intelligently to defeat these groups that continue to generate all kinds of violence, “said one of the indigenous people in the area.
