Ana Greisy Lopez

Ana Greysi López, was a transgender activist from the municipality of Coatepeque (Quetzaltenango) in Guatemala. She was murdered in September 2018. According to the regional LGBTI news agency, Presentes, no other media covered the crime.

López was a member of the Organization OTRANS-Reinas de la Noche, an organization that advocates for the rights of the transgender community in Guatemala.

On its Facebook page, OTRANS stated that Ana Greisy had worked closely with them in recent years, and that she had become a reference in the municipality of Coatepeque since 2016.
