Diana Patricia Mejía Fonseca

Diana Patricia Mejía Fonseca (50) worked for the ICBF as a community mother and a teacher in the district called Candelaria la Nueva in Bogotá. She was killed on the 3rd of February 2018.

On that day, around 5.45 in the afternoon Diana called her friend to ask if she wanted to accompany her as she had one last errand to run for the day. Diana’s husband states that he saw both women crossing the street when suddenly a medium height man appeared. He took out a gun and shot Diana twice, in the head and chest.

The city authorities are looking for the killer and are investigating the motives behind the lethal attack. It hasn’t been confirmed whether Diana had received any threats.
