Eder Cuetia Conda

Eder Cuetia Conda fought for peasant rights and worked in the community as the coordinator of peasant security in Los Andes. He was a member of the Board of Communal Action of the Siberia Path and the Political and Social Movement Patriotic March in Cauca. He was also associated with the indigenous reservation of López Adentro.

According to the National Police Conda was involved with the development and selling of marijuana and that he had previous criminal records for trafficking and manufacturing narcotics.

Cuetia Conda was casually talking with some people on February 26 2017 when an unidentified  hooded man approached him on a motorcycle and shot him dead. It is believed that irregular armed groups in the area were involved in his murder. It is with great sadness that behind him he has left two young children of infant and teen aged.
