Hermisul Larraonda Rendón

Colombian human rights defender Iver Larraonda, also known as Hermisul, was president of the Community Action Board of the Los Alpes neighbourhood in the town of Orito, Putumayo. He was 33 years old. Iver was murdered in a park in front of the mayor’s office. According to human rights organizations, armed individuals came to the park and shot him several times.

Despite his youth, Iver had become an important leader and was loved and respected for his work on behalf of the community.
