Mario Alexi Tarache Pérez, president of the Community Action Board (JAC) of Vereda Arenitas de San Luis de Palenque (Casanare), received twelve shoots moments before entering his home in that same municipality on Sunday, 10 January 2016.
The 36-year-old civic leader and open critic of oil policy, died on Thursday, January 14, after staying in the Intensive Care Unit of Yopal Hospital (Casanare).
The death of Mario Alexi happens in the region of Casarne and two months after the murder of Daniel Abril, leader of the Civic Committee for Human Rights of Meta and member of MOVICE – Movement of Victims of State Crimes.
