Wilber Chamarra Carpio

Wilber Chamarra Carpio, was the indigenous leader of the Wounnan People. He was killed in presence of his family and 10 other people. The killers took his body, to a still unknown place.

Indigenous authorities of Colombia Gobierno Mayor reported the murder, but there still have been no results in the investigation.

The Wounnan people are among the indigenous communities of Colombia that have been most affected by the armed conflict of this country.
