In circumstances that are still the subject of investigation by the judicial authorities of the Department of Huila, the President of the Board of Community action of the village of Vatican de Baraya, Huila was shot dead

The body of Alipio Salazar Avilés, was found in his house with a shot in the back, by some residents of the area who noticed his absence, because that morning he had not left for milk as he usually did and so they decided to go to look for him at his residence where they ran into the macabre scene; they immediately notified the authorities, who quickly arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area in order to carry out the respective survey.

Although until now the possible causes of the homicide are unknown, unofficial versions state that the deceased had had personal problems with one of his neighbors. The authorities are gathering statements in order to give prompt clarity to what happened.
