The Killing & Investigation

The incident occurred on the afternoon on February 16, in the capital of Arauca, where  Zaira Bellasmín Pérez Hinojosa, was passing through the Cancha Los Güires sector of the Cabañas del Río neighborhood, when apparently in an attempted robbery, was injured by a firearm by a criminal of Venezuelan nationality.

According to a report known by Caracol de La Voz del Cinaruco, this Venezuelan criminal is Orlando Josué Zerpa Soto, a native of the Zamora population, Barinas State — Venezuela, who was captured by the authorities from the same community.

The offender will face charges of homicide and is being held at the Police Station.

While Pérez Hinojosa was transferred yesterday to El Tunal Hospital in the city of Bogotá where she was pronounced dead.
