According to the report from the judicial bodies, on 17th March 2019, 18-year-old John Jairo Noscué was murdered in the Miravalle de Corinto, Cauca, after responding to a call for help sent in the middle of a shooting that took place in the sector known as ‘La Cancha’.
«The assault took place at approximately 6 pm, several people were watching a game, when several people got out of a car, according to the community, their faces were covered with ski masks, they located the farmer, and shot him repeatedly until he was dead», said one of the experts.
After the shooting, the hit men started to flee. The inhabitants of the area tried to help Noscué, but there was nothing that could be done. The were shots in the chest, abdomen and extremities.
After the death of the young community member, the population remains on alert while the peasant guard states said they will strengthen the checkpoints and security of the place to prevent people outside the village from having access to the territory, and thus prevent further acts of violence such as that which occurred on March 17 and which they expect, the authorities will find those responsible.
