Blemar Mondejar

On April 18, 2015, Frank Coguit and Berting Laygayan arrived at the house of Blemar, armed with a M16 and M14 rifles. The two men insisted on accompanying Blemar to Brgy. Langasian to get another rifle from the military. Blemar trusted the men because Frank Coguit, a member of the BAGANI, was his brother-in-law. The family heard many gunshots after 30 minutes that Blemar left the house. Blemar’s relatives decided to check on the incident but soldiers from the 26th Infantry Battalion blocked them on the road, so they returned home.

The next morning, the relatives went to the place where they heard the gunshots and there found the lifeless body of Blemar, riddled with bullets.

Blemar Bobong Mondejar was a Manobo farmer from San Patricio, Lapaz, Agusan del Sur. He was a member of Kahogpongan sa Lumadnong Organisasyon (KASALO).

It was seen as a motive for murder when Blemar rejected the persistent offer of the Bagani Force to become a part of the paramilitary group. Laygayan and Coguit, together with four other armed members of Bagani Force went to the home of Mondejar on April 13, 2015 asking him to surrender and sign membership documents.
