Unfortunately, little information is publish regarding Surendra Singh Patidar. However, what is known is that on the 6th of June, 2017, Surendra Singh Patidar was shot and killed during a peaceful protest in Mandsaur, India.
Surendra Singh was among others that were peacefully attending a protest that sought to bring attention to wages and a state of precarity that increasingly became a characteristic of farmer, and non-farmer life, alike in the region.
Unfortunately, police soon opened fire on him and others killing 5 protesters in total.
