On 12 October 2001, Márcio Leonardo de Sousa Brito was shot dead in Tinguatinga in the Federal District of Brazil.
Márcio was 27 years old and a leader of a land occupation. He represented a group of 60 families occupying a plot of land belonging to Viação Pioneira, one of the companies owned by Constantino de Oliveira.
The Taguatinga Jury Tribunal in the Federal District condemned the businessman Constantino de Oliveira, 86, known as Nenê Constantino, who is also the founder of the airline Gol and a pioneer in the field of road transport for the murder.
