It was at dawn this Thursday when armed men arrived at the home of Gilberto Alcaraz and Wilder Elías Godoy, former president and former vice president, respectively, of the Community Action Board of the La Milagrosa village of Santa Fe de Antioquia.
Minutes later, the peasants were killed with gunshot wounds. Authorities are investigating the causes of double homicide that has shocked the community over the loss of their leaders.
Wilder Godoy, in addition, promoted a peasant coffee brand that had been recognised as one of the best in the country.
